Mishu

Mishu was rescued from the euthanasia list at NYC ACC after being surrendered by his family, who couldn’t take him to their new home. When he first arrived at our sanctuary, he was terrified and withdrawn, spending weeks hiding away and only coming out at night to eat. With patience and gentle care, we slowly gained his trust — even needing to safely trap him at one point to bring him into daily life.

Over time, Mishu has blossomed into a cat with a big personality. He’s vocal about what he wants — whether it’s being carried, petted, or fed and he has become a beloved part of our sanctuary family. His only medical condition is a cauliflower ear, which does not require treatment.

While Mishu is technically adoptable, we’ve learned that adjusting to new environments is very difficult for him. For his well-being, we’ve decided that the sanctuary is his forever home, where he feels safe and understood.
